Healing 101: Words of Wisdom for your healing journey

First, what is the definition of healing? Healing is an intricate journey involving the mending/repairing (so to speak) of one's emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Sometimes you know something is missing and your soul just knows. Be open to facing your triggers and diving deeper into them to discover yourself. Often, healing transcends the boundaries of your previous thoughts about your spirituality, emotions, and physical well-being, intertwining them into a canvas for self-renewal and growth. It's a process that requires patience, self-compassion, and a commitment to your own well-being. In this blog post, we will explore five essential aspects of the healing journey that I have encountered on my personal journey. I hope these can guide and inspire you on your path to wellness.

  1. Be ready to do the spiritual work! Know that even if you feel that your current journey of healing has nothing to do with spirituality, this is always the foundation. For example, one part of my journey (or so I THOUGHT) dealt with me having chronic, life shaking back pain that took over my life. I discovered that my back pain has manifested due to a lot of emotional pain that has shown me the spiritual work that I needed to do. Ok Brandy, What does this mean to me? When you know you need to heal, you don't always know from what, but you know something is missing and that you are just not at peace despite how hard you have worked or that your body is shutting down on you. It might entail reconnecting with your inner self, exploring your spiritual beliefs and going deeper with them, and finding a sense of purpose. Spiritual work is about nurturing your soul, seeking inner peace, and aligning with your values and beliefs. For some, this can be a tough, deeply personal, and introspective process. Just know that you are EXACTLY where you need to be, and that it is all working out for you.

  2. Establishing Boundaries: Setting and respecting boundaries is a crucial component of healing. Choosing your "yes" and "no" is a powerful act of self-care. It involves being mindful of what you consume, both in terms of the content you consistently consume and the people you surround yourself with. Remember that nobody is your enemy in this healing journey; everyone is on their unique path. Some individuals may trigger you, but it's essential to recognize that they might have been placed in your life (whether they realize it or not) to help you grow and learn. You need to be more of a people pleaser for YOURSELF because you can't pour from an empty cup. Your self-care is healing everyone around you. I've learned that as long as I'm communicating my "no" or boundaries in a loving and gentle way, I have more peace with saying no sometimes and choosing me.

  3. Be Authentic on your journey: Being authentic on your healing journey isn't always easy, but it's essential for finding your purpose and truth. Embrace your true self and follow your intuition, for it can lead you back to your true purpose in life more quickly. Stop comparing yourself to others and showing up as how you feel the world accept you. You will keep choosing paths that don't speak to your purpose, but what you have allowed to be your purpose. Success involves PEACE, not just things and money. Listen to your heart and inner wisdom as you navigate the twists and turns of healing, and trust that your authentic self holds the key to your personal growth and well-being.

  4. Being intentional in your healing journey: Being intentional in your healing journey is key to making meaningful progress. You have to be serious about setting aside the time, even small moments, to pour into your journey. This might involve practices such as journaling, prayer, dancing, cooking, or meditation to foster self-reflection and personal growth. Whatever feels right to YOU. These intentional actions can help you get to know yourself, deal with triggers and challenges, and move forward on your path to healing. Make it light when you need a break! Every day doesn't have to be so deep, but choose moments to be intentional.

  5. Happy Places and Happy Moments: Living in the moment is key to healing, and having places and experiences that help you on your journey is essential. Identify your happy places and moments—those special locations or moments in time that bring you pure happiness and peace. Regularly visit these places or recreate these moments to recharge and find the calm you need during your healing process. Being present in these happy spaces can provide a profound sense of serenity and comfort as you navigate your journey towards healing.

  6. Patience and Grace: The healing journey is a rollercoaster with good and bad days. It's essential to grant yourself the patience and grace needed to navigate the ups and downs. Understand that healing is a process, and it won't always be easy. Be kind to yourself, acknowledge your progress, and remember that you are continually evolving and growing. Don't make every day so heavy. You can't mess up your process of healing. You are always exactly where you need to be.

Incorporating these six essential aspects into your healing journey can provide you with valuable guidance and support. As you embark on this transformative path, remember that healing is a unique and personal experience, so listen to the voice within more than you Iisten to anything or anyone. Other people are meant to help guide you, but not drive the car. Embrace healing with an open heart, and allow yourself the time and space to nurture your emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being.

Healing is a journey,

Brandy <3
